Kybella

Reduce Moderate to Severe Fat Below the Chin

We use Kybella® injections in our Bloomfield, Connecticut practice to dissolve fat cells below the chin (submental fat or “double chin”). Kybella® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin”.  The active ingredient in Kybella® is deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella® breaks down the fat cells. Our medical providers design a treatment plan tailored to achieve the desired chin profile of the patient. During the treatment sessions, Kybella® is administered into the fat under the chin using multiple injections. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions*. Up to 6 treatment sessions may be administered spaced no less than one month apart.

Kybella® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat or double chin).

The active ingredient in Kybella® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. The Kybella® treatment regimen, including how many treatments are needed, is customized based on the desired chin profile of the patient. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions*. During these sessions, your HCP will administer Kybella® into the fat under your chin using multiple injections.
