We offer the Juliet™ vaginal rejuvenation laser treatment in our Bloomfield, Connecticut practice. Over time, vaginal tissues can stretch and lose tone and elasticity as a result of natural childbirth or aging (vaginal atrophy). The loss or change in vaginal tissue can also impair sexual function (including dyspareunia) and cause leakage of urine when sneezing, coughing, laughing or exercising.
The Juliet™ is the most advanced and effective non-surgical procedure for vaginal rejuvenation. Juliet delivers gentle laser energy to the vaginal wall to stimulate new collagen growth and remodel tissue to restore flexibility and shape. The Juliet™ improves lubrication and reduces itching and pain caused by reduced estrogen. The treatment can also enhance the appearance and femininity of the vaginal and external vulvar area. Juliet is a simple, non-surgical, minimally-invasive treatment that delivers laser energy directly to the tissue. The first pass stimulates the production of collagen which strengthens the structure of the tissue. The second pass revitalizes the tissue through gentle heating, improving tone and flexibility. The beneficial effects are often noticeable after the first treatment and continues to improve several months after the treatments are completed*.
The treatment is generally not painful, however, a mild topical anesthetic may be applied to the vaginal area if desired.
Two initial treatments at four week intervals and a follow up treatment every 12 months to maintain the benefits of the procedure are typically required*.
